Distance 18.1 miles
Difficulty Easy weather Good Company Mal & Adrian Spring seems to be creeping up on us at last (if today's weather is anything to go by). We had sunshine with a light breeze & a temperature of around 6'c. We met at the usual spot at Stakesby Terminus and cycled to Egton via Aislaby Side. Our plan was to cycle around Glaisdale but unfortunately I was tied to returning home by 4 pm so at the top of Limber Hill we decided to drop down Broom House Lane to Egton Bridge and the follow the very muddy and potholed toll road to Grosmont and then via Eskdale Side, continue to Sleights & Ruswarp. The only downside to the afternoon was having to return early as I would have thoroughly enjoyed a circuit of Glaisda

Difficulty Moderate Climb 1574 ft Weather Overcast Company Malcolm This was the first outing with Malcolm for a couple of weeks, we met as usual at Stakesby Road and made our way to Newholme & Dunsley and then on to Ugthorpe before turning off for Mickleby. We were both amazed at the amount of mud on the road in places and our bikes were soon well and truly spattered with the stuff. From Mickleby we joined the main road for a short distance before turning off again for the downhill run to Ellerby Junction where we joined the track of the old railway to Kettleness where we rode to the green and enjoyed the view over Runswick Bay for a few minutes before turning inland and the climb up to Goldsborough then on to East Barnby followed by another downhill stretch to the water splash at Broom House Lane where we retraced our outward route home. The total mileage was 27.6 miles which is the longest ride so far this year but I was a little disappointed with our average speed of a shade under mph Distance 15.8 miles
Difficulty Moderate Weather Overcast with cool breeze Company Solo My route was along the old railway to Stainsacre then along country lanes to Soulsgrave Farm, Ugglebarnby & Briggswath Distance 18.8
Difficulty Easy Weather Bright & sunny with a breeze Company John John set a quicker pace than I am used to and I have to admit I was hard put to keep up most of the time, It did mean however that my average speed for the day was my best for some time. John was riding his road bike which is higher geared than my old Zimmer so that is my excuse for struggling a bit, (and I'm sticking to it). The photo below was taken near Egton. Exactly the same route as yesterday except there was a bit more breeze.
